Whilst the Data Protection Act does not apply to your pets, we do collect personal information (or Data) from you (as their owners) if you enquire about or book any of our pet care services.
We use the data collected for the purposes of:
- providing you with the goods or services you have requested
- contacting you to inform you of the well-being of your pet whilst in our care
- contacting you in the event of a query about a booking you have made with us
- liaising with your veterinary provider (or ours) in the event that your pet requires urgent medical treatment
- keeping our internal records and accounts
K9 Komfortz will not use your data for direct marketing, unless you have expressly consented to our doing so. We would love to use photos of your pets in our advertising, but if you DO NOT want us to do this you can ‘opt out’ of any advertising and/or marketing communications at any time by contacting us. We will never post any personal data about you on our website or share this information with third parties.

Our use of your personal data
K9 Komfortz is required to keep our records for a period of 5 years for taxation purposes. These records may contain a limited amount of personal data relating to your booking. Unless we are obliged (or permitted by law) to do so, your data will not be disclosed to third parties. All personal data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.
Speculative data will be destroyed after a period of 12 months.

K9 Komfortz may, from time to time, employ the services of other parties for dealing with matters that may include, but are not limited to, payment processing, delivery of purchased items, host provider facilities. Any data used by such parties is used only to the extent required by them to perform the services that K9 Komfortz requests.
